I was looking for a place to stay that was open at 12 am. This was the only place around that was open. The motel is old. A couple of ten years old. We checked in, The rooms smelled clean but further inspection, The bathroom floor had cigarette burns on the floor, No hair dryer, or microwave or frig. Went to crawl into bed and the fitted sheet popped off. The bedding sucked. You can tell that they don't take the time to buy new bedding each year like they should. Walls are very thin. You can hear everything. And I mean everything. From the t.v. turned down low in the room next door to people walking down the stairs to doors at the other end of the motel shutting. On the sign out from it said that here was HBO... WRONG. We didn't even get the weather channel!!!
I guess the only thing about this place was that the heater worked great. Our room got very warm. I know that I will never stay in the place again. Not impressed at all.

Dropped in on the recommendation of a fellow roadie. Extremely impressed. I have been in alot of Motels over the years, and as a smoker I did not smell like one here. Rooms were clean, pets are welcome and management and guest were friendly. I travel with my office in my car and it was great to move it into a motel that had desk space, lighting and igh speed internet. Would recommend it deffinately.

not impressed at all, but you get what you pay for! the beds were flimsy as was the bedding - one of the blankets had a cigarette hole in it (non-smoking room)... the breakfast included making a hot waffle, which was good, but only one waffle was available between the 3 of us... not a very clean place... while this hotel looked better than most in town, we'd probably try a different one next time, or stay in another town!

Oakley, KS has served as our launching point for trips from Cincinnati to Southwestern Colorado on two separate motorcycle trips. Since we do not require anything fancy, and we are just looking for a place to clean up, catch some ZZZZs and get going to the next morning, the Kansas Kountry Inn has served a purpose for us. We even played a bit of cornhole under the lights in the parking lot last year before calling it a night.
The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean. The pool was nice after a 1000 mile day on the motorcycle (2001) or in the truck (hauling dirt bikes in 2006). The rates are reasonable and the location is prime.......close to the expressway and on the main road.
We would stay here again as an overnight stay on our way to someplace else. Not much around Oakley, so I sure don't think this is a destination stop.
