We've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year. Both times were pleasant and exactly what we were looking for, and what we expect in a Super 8.... clean, comfortable, quiet, and a low price. Our most recent stay was this weekend. The room was clean, everything in it worked, the room temperature was easy to regulate (it was cold outside and the heater worked well), and the staff was courteous and professional. Good location, close to the mall and lots of restaurants. Short drive to K-State. No complaints at all, will probalby stay there again the next time we're in Manhattan.

This was our closest CLC option to a project in Alma, so we oveooked the reviews and booked.

Upon arrival, 1 bed was clean, the other not. No other negative impressions except all stairs...no elevators, so pack light.

Lots of contractors. vehicles fiiled the lot, and its near Ft. Riley. Lots of shopping nearby.

Upon arriving at hotel, the desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. We checked into our room on the second floor. Disturbed there was no elevator but not a huge deal. I knew something was wrong when the stairs themselves were filthy. Upon entering the room, there was a roach crawling across the ceiling. There were 3 small pillows on the king bed that had stains on the sheets. Needless to say, we looked no further and proceeded with our bags to the front desk. Once again, the clerk was very understanding and refunded our money immediately.

This is an older motel, but still well kept up. We hadn't made reservations and stopped to see about accomodations. The front desk was more than helpful as the motel was quite full. We did have a room on the lower floor, but it was still quiet all night. The room was clean and had a fridge, but the room was quite small. The breakfast was nice and the room large enough to accomodate quite a few people. The only comment I would add against the staff was my husband had left his teeth guard in a container in the bathroom and when we called the day we left, the person at the front desk didn't seem to care enough to see if it was turned in. The container was pricey, well over $300, so we were hoping the maid would not have thrown it away.
