“Convenient Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

We stayed at this location for two nights during graduation weekend—December 2011. Overall the hotel stay was pleasant except for some minor inconveniences. On a positive note, the front desk staff are all very courteous and helpful. If they don’t know the answer to a question they will try to find out for you. At least that’s what I encountered. Now the negatives:

1) The computer in the lobby is quite unreliable. It took approximately 15 minutes to connect to the Internet. The hotel desk representative stated that many people staying at the hotel were trying to get online at the same time.

2) Parking was definitely a problem the weekend we stayed. We circled around the hotel several times each night to try and find an available parking space.

3) The guest rooms are not soundproof by any means. On the first night, I could literally hear a coin drop from a guest staying in the room above us. Since we also had a window overlooking the main street, noisy traffic could be heard as well. I would recommend that you request a room away from the street if you’re a light sleeper.

4) Unfortunately, the hotel staff are a bit slow when fulfilling requests. For example, we asked for extra towels to be brought to our room and waited approximately an hour for them to be delivered. Perhaps the hotel is understaffed.

“It's about Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

I spent a weekend in Manhattan and had a first class hotel experience "at the campus". The room was well appointed and the meals at the restaurant always fresh and flavorful. However, it was the hospitality that made the experience so special. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Oh yah and the wildcats won!

“No comparison to Holidome and that's a good thing.”

On previous trips to Manhattan, I have had the great misfortune of staying at the old Holidome. So with great anxiety, I pulled up to the Holiday Inn Manhattan and was very pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. From the first steps into the hotel it was clear this was a significant upgrade in everything except the price.

The service was outstanding, very helpful and polite. The room was very comfortable with all the modern amenities. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was decent.

The only issue was staying across from campus on a Thursday night before a big KSU football game. It was a little noisy until about 11:30, but then either moved on or died down. I would definitely stay here again.

“just what you need at K-State”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

I reviewed this hotel a few years ago and it has not changed too much since then.
This hotel has the best beds I have slept in all year. They are apparently known for their beds. HVAC worked very well although it is a unit in the room so you will hear it. Hallway noise is noticeable but not a problem with earplugs. Still has hip furnishings and they seem to be well-maintained. I saw a guy spraying for bugs in the lobby area when I was there they told me he was not spraying in the rooms. I did not see any bugs at all in the hotel and they did not say what kind of bugs they might be. If I had to guess I would guess ants or roaches given the areas he was spraying - on the ground floor, in the public bathrooms, etc. I would probably still stay at this place again unless someone had evidence of bedbugs in the rooms.

There is a Hoolihans next door they had $6 pitchers of margaritas during happy hour. I was planning on getting 1 margarita but instead I got a pitcher it was cheaper. It came served with a long straw and no glass which I thought was funny. I sent them back for a glass.
They also serve breakfast in the morning for the hotel guests. YOu have to pay for breakfast but it is not so expensive.

The hotel is next to the Kstate campus you can walk to campus from the hotel. Plenty of free parking at the hotel.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and welcome you back anytime you are in town! The pest control spraying you observed was a monthly preventative treatment program we participate in. We want to ensure that we continue to provide a clean pest free environment so we invest in programs to keep our property that way. Thank you for your feedback and come back and visit us soon.

Thank you,

“Fantastic, comfortable, good value hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Really good location to Manhattan stores/shops and restaurants, only a 10 min walk into Aggieville. Lovely comfortable quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast and lovely terrace to sit outside and try their fab cocktails. Service for breakfast was so slow one day, but they took the whole bill off our table (for 12 of us!) so it made up for it. Bonus of having a pool too, as we had a hot day and ended up having the pool all to ourselves. Great stay and lovely staff.
