My wife and I spent four nights in this facility. It did not disappoint us in any way. While not truly outstanding in any category, it was very good in every respect: the full breakfast should satisfy almost everyone, everything in the room worked, wi-fi was easily accessible, the maid service staff did their jobs promptly and well, the counter staff was courteous and helpful. The business center and fitness center are small and equipment is limited, but they were continuously available and everything functioned as it should. There is a more than decent Applebee's Restaurant a few yards away (lunch and dinner only). The Inn is close to the Kansas University Medical Center, and it is a short drive (10 minutes or less) to such attractions as the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National World War I Museum (all worth visiting).

I stay here often, and it seems to only get better with each stay. I was allowed an early check-in and the room had everything I needed. The staff went above and beyond and even help me and a friend with going to the Renaissance Faire

This is your basic hotel for the frugal traveler looking for the usual amenities and decent breakfast. The location was a little tough to find because the GPS wanted to take me to MO instead of KS, but other than that the location is an adequate base for Kansas City recreation. Staff was nice and accommodating.

I am fairly familiar with the KC area, and generally when we visit, we stay in the Plaza area. Due to the Paul McCartney concert at the Sprint Center this past weekend, everything near the Plaza was either booked or more expensive than what we were hoping to pay. There weren't many recent reviews of this hotel, so I was somewhat apprehensive after reading negative reviews from 2 years ago. But, we were running out of options and decided to go with it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was recently renovated and the lobby was pretty nice! Even our room had been obviously repainted and the bathroom retiled recently. We hung out in the hot tub and it was clean with a brand new tile floor. The area is admittedly not the greatest, but there were several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and we never felt nervous to be outside the hotel. The hotel offers a free shuttle to some attractions in the area, and a $2 per person shuttle to areas such as the Plaza and the Power & Light District (Sprint Center). We took the shuttle to P&L on the way there and a cab on the way back and both ended up costing around $13 after tip. I would still prefer to stay closer to the Plaza, but will definitely keep this hotel in mind for the future!
