“worst motel experience of my life”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2010

we reserved 5 rooms for an air force commissioning and a ksu graduation and we had awful moments. two of our rooms had to move after unpacking due to locks not locking, another one had to move twice due to locks, then lights not working, then filthy pillows, phone not working, mold etc etc.
what should have been a great weekend turned into a nightmare. pool noisy most of nite, smokers, dopers and drunks everywhere. don't ruin your time in central kansas by going here. days inn has really slipped.

“Visit To Son & Family Before He Was Deployed To Iraq”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2009

We were dissappointed in our first room because of the holes and cracks in the walls, holey and moldy tiles around the shower unit, the noisy vibrating air conditioning unit, and the noisy partiers outside our window each night until midnight. After our air conditioner died, the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Our second room was newly painted, no holes, no mold, a larger refrigerator, and had a quiet air conditioner. Wish we had been put there first. Our Grandchildren enjoyed the pool, but we did notice that in that area there were several small problems that should have been attended to earlier. Breakfast could have had more of a variety, the coffee cups were a tad too small, and because we were not required to be up early it would have been appreciated had the hours for breakfast been until 10 AM rather than the offerred 9 AM, Employees were very friendly and pleasant.

“Horrible Experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2009

Liked: Nothing
Questioned: Why there was cold cereal for breakfast and no milk?
Impressed: With the way that the box spring of my bed was taped together with duct tape.
Enjoyed: The lounge which provided me the opportunity to drink a few beers in hopes that I could sleep in my uncomfortable bed.
Wondered: How many past guests had complained.
Intrigued: With the toe nail clippings on the floor from the prior guest.
Amazed: That people still use TP to cover up the peep holes in the bathroom.

“Would not stay here again”

We stayed at this Days Inn for one night in September. This is a 2 level motel with exterior entrances to the rooms. When we checked in we were given a room on the 2nd floor. When we opened the door, we found a fan blowing on the carpet and the refrigerator pulled out from the wall. Upon contacting the front desk we were told that they must have shampooed the carpet and to return to the front desk. We were reassigned a room on the first floor that the head housekeeper had just checked. Our room had 2 double beds, a microwave on the desk, and a refrigerator under the sink. When I opened the refrigerator, I found 2 bottles of soda that had been left. The bathroom had mold around the corners of the tub and what appeared to be water damage on the ceiling. The room did not seem to be very clean. The door looked as though someone had tryed to break it down and it didn't seem to fit quite right - we could lock it though. The motel has 2 swimming pools - the outdoor one was covered and the indoor one was closed for repairs. There is also a hot tub next to the indoor pool. The area with the pool is where the contential breakfast is served. It offered juice, cereal, bread for toast, english muffins and small fruit muffins. Not a very good selection.
We could hear people outside our room as well as the rooms next door. Overall, this was a less than pleasant place to stay and I would not stay here again.

This was a very pleasant experience:) I had to stay in Junction city on the way to a business meeting in Topeka. People in Junction city are very friendly and the Days Inn is one of the great bargained priced hotels there. It has a great lounge to take a load off after long hours of driving. And the staff were friendly and gave directions to local establishments. If you would like to find a hotel
in this area that is reasonably priced with a good location than this
is the place:)
