The hotel is off the highway but easy to find. Rooms were clean. Linen was fresh. Mattresses were ok. No breakfast at hotel but many places were nearby. It was a good place for a few hours rest and back on the road crossing KS.

We reached Hays late into the evening, but was able to get a room. It was very reasonable (approx $55), but it was a smoking room. They must clean them real well, because you could barely smell the cigarettes in the room and the bed smelled nice and clean. There is also a recliner, micro and fridge in the room. Nice touches for a cheaper motel. The towels were very soft. We enjoyed the rest we got there so much, that on our return trip we stayed there again. This time with a non smoking room. We didn't use the safe, so at checkout they were very nice to remove the charge. I checked the credit card and it immediately reflected the reduced price. I also had a message when I got home about something I had left in the room. They offered to send it back to me and were very nice about the whole episode. I would definitely stay here again. Clean, reasonably price and safe feeling. Just what you are looking for on a long trip. The front desk clerks were all very nice on both trips. They even provide in room coffee and shampoo. Yes, the place is older, but both times it was very quiet, even though we knew we had neighbors.

The Best Value Inn was not a luxury hotel but the room was clean and the price was cheap and they had a room when most other hotels were booked so It worked out quite well.

There was no free breakfast but the room did have a mini fridge and free wifi.

looked up Hays KS in trip advisor the exit before on gas station wi-fi. wanted to just get a room at a place with no bugs and not super expensive. we choose the ABVI based on reviews. they were close- we stayed in the handicapped room for 53 bucks, and the only issues were it smelled like smoke. I washed the AC filter and the smell went away.
it was half the cost of the nearby lodging sites and probably twice the age. bed was average and sheets were thin.
Did we get a good night sleep and feel safe-- YES.
Would we go back- YES-
It was a good value for the cost
