Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Clean, clean, clean. They added to my already long trip and made it better.

I'm old enough to remember when Quality Inns were quality. If this hotel is any indication, that isn't true anymore.

While the staff was nice, the rooms left something to be desired. We were in two of them - both were sorely in need of some fresh paints, clean carpets and tile work. We left the first room we were given because the toilet was plugged. The second room had an a/c that couldn't be used because of an exceptionally loud metallic "clanking" sound like a fan blade hitting metal - only louder. Both rooms were missing a switch on the lights above the beds (as was a third according to a guest in the breakfast room). The one working light bulb in the fixture had to be turned on and off by screwing /unscrewing the bulb. To top things, the shower head was permanently frozen in the "Message" setting. I'm a pretty big guy, work out 3 times a week and I couldn't budge it.

We have stayed in worse places but only because of dire circumstances. I'd suggest anyone looking for a hotel in Hays - if you must look for a hotel in Hays - look elsewhere.

Parking lot was very well lite. All entrances were from inside. pool was warm and clean along with hot tub. Looks like a lot of remodeling has been done. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Our GPS listed this as a AAA property with 3 diamonds. This is a Choice International Hotel property, so we called and booked. It was small and rundown looking from the outside, but we decided to give it
a try. You have to park behind the building in a lot shared by an auto garage. The halls were narrow with lights out. The rooms were unclean and our toilet didn't work. The small pool smelled of chlorine so bad my eyes burned. The pool was green in color and the jacuzzi had no heat (although the temp registered 103 degrees). A baseball tournament in town meant there were no other rooms available! We couldn't wait to check out and the morning staffer was rude. Quite an experience!
