I did think the lobby was a bit old fashioned but the rooms were nice and clean. The beds were super cozy. I'm glad they use a duvet style comforter with a clean, crisp sheets on top and bottom. I liked that it was all one level and you can park right outside of your hotel room. There is an attached restaurant. It is not fancy, but on a icy cold night after a long drive, it's great to not have to get in the car again to go eat. We had pizza. They did not skimp on the size. It was way too huge for us to eat it all. It was not a fancy pizza but it was descent and the price was right. The salad we ordered was quite huge as well for the price. Everything was very affordable. We had a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant as well which was very nice. You actually got to order from a select group of complimentary items. Nothing huge but it was nice to order a warm meal and not get cold cereal and a bagel from an impersonal breakfast bar. I was at this hotel on Christmas eve and the restaurant was running. It was so nice. I was very happy with it and will make sure we bring swimsuits next time for the indoor pool.
The desk attendant was very nice and professional. I really hope everything is as nice when we stop by again this winter.

Our car died at Emporia and we had to leave it for repairs, rent a car and continue on our way. We booked the same handicap room for our return visit when we would pick up our repaired car. My husband and I were traveling with my 93 year old mother. She used the handicap friendly room. It was excellent! Roomy, strong bars in the tub area, removable shower head, comode over the toilet that allowed her to have arm rests. Her bed was great, too. We were very pleased to be able to return and use that same room. For the return trip we also were able to book the room that connected to the handicap room, so we could get into mom's room without going out into the hallway. Our stay was quiet and comfortable. We have started using Best Westerns because of their dog friendly policies and excellent accomodations. However, this trip we did not have our dogs with us. The only thing we missed was a free breakfast. A small restuarant located in the same facilities provided a breakfast, but it was not free; good food, but not included in the hotel fees.
