My two sisters and two cousins took a weekend trip to Emporia KS and stayed at the White Rose Inn. The 2nd floor suite was a great place for such an outing as it provided much room for sleeping, lounging, visiting, and eating. It was also close to downtown shopping which we enjoyed and provided much reminicsing as we shopped the antique and 2nd-hand shops as well as other quaint shops. We also loved our visit to Amanda's, a great deli shop, and Sweet Granada's, a great candy store, both near the Inn. Our delight came on Saturday morning when Scarlett Lowery, the Inn's innkeeper fixed us a delightful hot breakfast of a Sausage/Egg/Cheese casserole, Baked Oatmeal, fruit, orange juice and coffee. Thanks to the Lowery's for their great hospitality and kindness. --Cousins Five from Central Kansas
