For one night it wasn't bad. The staff was very accommodating - we had burned out bulbs by the bed and when we took them downstairs, they handed us new light bulbs. There is no elevator (that we saw), so if you cannot cart your bags upstairs, ask for a downstairs room. The rooms all open into a central hallway which is not air conditioned. Beware in the heat! The rooms were not cool upon arrival in mid-afternoon, but when we returned from touring the town (the Bluestem is not to be missed!) and dinner, the temperatures were good. The hotel was quiet. Rooms were a little worn, but for one night we weren't that picky. The rooms appeared to have been updated, but there were spots on the wallpaper. My bed was soft - one of my friend's was hard. I think the other was soft as well. New TV's with cable. The free continental breakfast was cereal, orange juice, waffles and sweet rolls. The sweet rolls appeared to be Dolly Madison - that bakery is a couple of blocks away. The bathroom was clean - there was a massaging shower head, but out of the four selections, only one worked. The motel provided shampoo, soap and lotion. There is a small pool outside that appeared clean... we did not take advantage of it. Again, for a basic place to sleep for one night, the Econo Lodge sufficed. No frills.
