“Right off I-80 and Nice and Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

Wife and I came back to IA for a family get-together and had make an unplanned stop along the way. We were worried that, with our dog in tow, we would have trouble finding lodging on such short notice. We have previously enjoyed visits to the Amana Colonies and decided that would be the place to stop until morning. We found Heritage Inn, managed by the very hospitable Sandi, who welcomed us in at the late hour and even made room for our dog. We would definitely stop by again on our treks home and encourage anyone traveling through the beautiful Amana Colonies to stop by for a night or two with some great folks and quiet rooms.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

This may be one of the best hotels to stay at in this area. It is central to ALL of the best places to visit; the Amana Colonies, shopping malls, water park, restaurants, gas station, and casinos. Sandi and his mother Gita were incredibly friendly, helpful and professional during our stay. Being pet friendly was also an important plus for our visit. We were there three days, enjoyed every minute and still did not get to see everything in the area. We will be back! Bob T

“Decent Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

Privately owned hotel, owner is quite proud of his establishment. Room was clean and comfortable. Don't know if the owner didn't trust us but he mentioned that he has a reputable place and was personal friends with the Sherriff and he hoped we were good hunters cause bad hunters would ruin it for everyone. Quite humorous and worth the chuckle that we got by listening to him. We got the special rate because we weren't staying for the free breakfast.

“You Get What You Pay For”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

We did not have a good experience here. The manager was very gracious and friendly, and the free breakfast was delicious; but the beds were VERY uncomfortable, the sheets/blankets/comforters/towels looked barely clean, there was rust in the tub from the water and the water tasted awful. We will not be returning.

This is a family owned hotel and they make you feel like you are part of their family! Sandi was very pleasant and professional during our stay. The hotel was very warm and inviting with beautiful decor. The room was very clean and well cared for. They provide a free hot breakfast at a near by resturante that was absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of staying one night at the Heritage Inn and we would love to come back. I would recommend this Hotel in a heartbeat! Thanks Sandi, we enjoyed our conversations with you very much! The best of everything to you and your Mom.
