This is a newer Hampton conveniently located off I-80. We were traveling from Chicago to Denver and were delighted to see a reliable Hampton located just off the highway. It was around 9pm and the check-in was a delight. The agent was very nice and friendly. Our room was clean and pleasant, but the layout was a bit strange. The closet and desk unit were on the wall opposite the entryway. It was awkward to hang our coats in the closet in the furthest corner of the room. Other than that the stay was excellent. Typical Hampton breakfast in the morning which was very helpful because we wanted to get back on the road first thing in the morning.

We stayed here 2 nights, right after Christmas.Ryan at the front desk went above and beyond in helping us figure out places to go and things to see, and pulled out literature on the area for us. When we asked if he could refrigerate an item for us, he went one better, and sent a small micro/fridge(on wheels)to our room. Both Ryan and also Jason from maintenance were super friendly, personable and helpful.They are welcoming and pleasant, and made us feel right at home. We were in a first floor smoking room, that did NOT stink of smoke(kudoes to housekeeping)and at first wondered about Interstate noise, as it is right next to Hotel. NO worries, this property is so well insulated we could hear a pin drop, even though we could see trucks going by on the nearby freeway, we could not hear them. Great Staff, Great Place, we are thinking up reasons to visit Des Moines again soon just so we can stay again!

Very comfortable and convenient. Close to restaurants, shopping, gas stations, and the highway. The room was very pleasant, the pool was relaxing, the complimentary hot breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. My family really enjoyed ourselves here.

We took a road trip in Sept/Oct of 2011 and stayed at seven different hotels. The prices ranged from $67 to $145 a night. The Best Western Plus were the best value, as they were in good repair and clean. They also had a continental breakfast that compared to the higher priced stays. Here is how I would rate this particular hotel. This place very clean and the room was nicely furnished. The breakfast though, was just OK. We stayed here as we were expecting a bit more (no fridge) for the $145 a night. We will probably venture else where next time.
