My check in and getting directions to the hotel was a 10, where "10" is the best. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and my stay was a 10. Great restaurants in the area.

This hotel was great for our family trip. Everything was clean, breakfast every morning and great service. The pool and pool area were HUGE! Our only complaint was the noise, we could hear every time someone opened a room door in the hallway and could hear some people just talking the hallway.

So, there is certainly nothing overly impressive about this Days Inn, but for the price I found it to be a very good choice for staying in Des Moines. It is very conveniently located right next to the freeway and is in a very quiet area of West Des Moines. There was construction set up next door but other than the unsightly look of it, it wasn't a bother at all. There was no extra noise from the work going on there.

The hotel was definitely old and in need of some updates, but overall I found my room to be comfortable and clean. I probably wouldn't stay here for a vacation, but for a short business trip it was ideal.

The BBQ restaurant next door also added a nice touch since it smelled fantastic and the food was very good.

The hotel for the money is a gem. The pool area in very big and comfortable for many guests. For what I paid my kids and I where very happy and suprised with the hotel overall. It is a bargain for what a room costs there. Plus there is a free cold item breakfast also. It just added to the value for us on a budget minded trip. Overall excellent value for what you pay.
