Nice big bathrooms. The air conditioner worked great. Loved the three super comfy pillows for each bed. Front desk clerk was helpful in helping me find some local pizza joints. Nice fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv.
Found some left over food from the previous guests in the fridge. The pool was cold! I mean cold. That was very disappointing, as we got there early so the kids could go swimming. Even the kids wouldn't get in. The breakfast was average at best.
Pretty nice place, but glad we didn't pay full price.

We occupied six rooms for 4 nights and enjoyed the hospitality shown to us by the hotel staff. We were offered the use of the breakfast dining room at night for games and snacks. Our rooms were beyond spacious. My family had a king suite which consisted of a bedroom with King bed, living room with queen sofa, kitchenette and living area. Plenty of room for 12-15 of us to hang out in without sitting on each other. The breakfast was a notch above your typical free hotel breakfast food with eggs, waffles, potatoes etc... Fresh cookies and coffee are available all the time. Decent indoor pool and workout room.

Spending the weekend at this hotel was a great experience for my whole family. Our young children enjoyed the pool and the hot tub was the perfect temp for everyone to enjoy as well. Clean, comfortable pool area. And a local artist did a fantastic job in painting the walls throughout the property. These wall paintings made for a cozy, peaceful environment. And after running around with my toddler, I enjoyed seeing such beauty!

The room had 2 double-beds which were comfortable. Great flat screen TV with high-tech jacks on the back that my husband said could be used to play a movie from our laptop. He was impressed with it. I liked the microwave and fridge that were standard amenities. My husband also liked how the ice machine was on the same floor.

The hotel is located right off a main highway and was close to plenty of restaurants, popular stores, etc. Our toddler accidentally wacked my husband in the face when playing on the bed and broke his glasses. The eyeglass repair store was only minutes away. We appreciated that!

We enjoyed their buffet breakfast most. The manager and staff were incredibly helpful and kind. If there was something I liked least, it might be the noise of the air conditioner/heater in the room - going on and off to regulate the temp. But it made the temp of the room quite comfortable so it was bearable. And we all slept well!

Overall, we loved the hotel and would stay there again if we ever visited Waterloo again.

I attended by granddaughter's 9th birthday party on July 25, 2011. My son and daughter in law made the birthday party arrangements with the Regional Sales Manager, Nathan Link, who was given every detail of this party. When my son arrived he was checked into the room by Assistant General Manager, Nina Webb, who then left to and called back and told the desk clerks that the children at the party were not allowed to swim. After keeping the guests at the party waiting for over an hour and lots of tears by 12 - 9 year olds they were told that 10 kids could swim but 2 had to sit out. When my son asked for the Assistant Manager's superior he was told there was no one higher than the assistant general manager. I'm not sure just who the assistant manager is assisting if she does not have a superior but whatever. We will never go to this establishment again. There are lots of hotels in this area that have pools and would welcome birthday parties - we will be sending our business to one of the competitors because Country Inn and Suites apparently doesn't need the business. My son even offered to rent another room to accommodate the birthday party swimmers and was told the hotel was full to capacity, yet when I left I asked if I could check into a room and was told that there were rooms available. Not a very savvy way to conduct a business. Think twice before planning a party here. If I could rate our experience lower than a 1 I would do it.
