First of all it was very inexpensive, had an indoor pool, continental breakfast and was in a good area of town. However, we checked in at 3:15 p.m., were given a room key, lugged all of our stuff to the room, only to discover that the room was not yet made up and was a mess from the previous guests. Upon inquiry at the front desk, the response was that they have no idea when it will be ready, but they are sorry. We left to get some food and upon our return the room was made up.
After an evening out, we came back to the motel to find the fire alarm going off. It did quit after about 10 minutes, and that was not a problem again...I hope there was not really a fire as no one seemed to pay any attention to the alarm. While the alarm was going off, a call to the front desk was answered with...we're working on it and then a hang-up.
In the morning the continental breakfast consisted of hostess gem donuts, fruit loops, corn-flakes, 2 loaves of bread, a bag of muffins, 2 toasters, jellies, peanut butter, coffee, juice, and milk. After breakfast we went back to the room and our keys did not work. We had to go back to the front desk to have them re-done so they could work. She said day-light savings time (It is now August) affects the keys.
We tried to take showers but the water never got warm between 8:30-10:30 a.m. My son braved the frigid temperature but it was waaay too cold for my husband and I. Not even luke warm. Luckily, we were heading home so I left without a shower. Even at a cheap rate I would like some warm water.
That being said, we know you get what you pay for....the room was comfortable and quiet. The motel itself is very dated.
