I spent a week at the Fairfield Inn in Ottumwa while in town for work. The staff was friendly and the hotel rooms are very cheerful in their color and decorating. On my most recent stay, I had a room on the third floor which faced west. Loved being able to have the curtains open to see the sunset! The hotel is near a nice residential area on the north end of town. It was a great area for morning runs and evening walks. The room was very clean and smelled good, but the A/C could have used a fresh/cleaned filter. The air it blew out was a bit on the stale side. The beds were comfy and I slept very well all week. The hotel seemed pretty full while I was there, but I didn't experience any noise problems. It is Ottumwa and there are train tracks everywhere so you will hear trains, but not as much as if you were staying downtown. The breakfast selection in the morning is great! Can't believe the variety of options available and they are right there to keep things fresh and available. Great place to stay. Honestly, I enjoyed my visit so much that I was just a little sad to leave at the end of the week. I'll look forward to staying there again.

I had a wonderful experience at the Fairfield Inn in Ottumwa, IA! Check-in was a breeze...the employee checking me in was very friendly and efficient.

The workout room was great. They had a treadmill, elliptical, and exercise bike. All were in great shape and appeared to be fairly new. I did not use the pool, but I noticed that it looked well maintained.

My room was very clean and quiet. The bed had a pillow top mattress and was very comfortable. A nice flat screen TV provided excellent viewing. A fairly large desk provided ample space for me to work without feeling cramped.

I received a top floor as requested in the online booking. They had rooms available and accomodated our early arrival. Breakfast was great with really more than was expected(waffles!). We brought a 5 and 6 year old who spent hours in the pool that ranged from 3' to 4'9". Great stay!

My wife and I had an excellent experience at the Fairfield Inn in Ottumwa. The room was nice, the breakfast was the best continental breakfast I've ever experienced at a hotel of this class, and the staff was courteous.
