The hotel staff is very nice but the place is a bit run down. The 2nd night we stayed we got back to the hotel & as soon as you opened the outside doors there was the nastiest smell in both the lower & upper corridors. It was still there the next day! Also, the rooms had a stale smoky order but I was able to get a spray sanitizer from one of the staff members & that took it mostly away.

This place is so bad it is like a movie. It fills up for graduations at the local college, but beware. It is a one star hotel for a reason. There are better places up in Des Moines.
