My husband called the hotel directly to make a reservation, when he was quoted a price, he realized he would get it cheaper online, so he made the reservation online. My Mother, myself and my two children were the registered guests. When I checked in, I asked the clerk for a reciept to which he rudely replied "No", because I had "booked online." That was a new one to me. The hotel lobby and rooms were clean, but the service was HORRIBLE! There was rarely anyone at the desk, morning and afternoon hours! You had to pick up a phone and call someone to come to the desk. There were 4 guests in our room and only two towels. When I went to the front desk to ask for more towels, I was told "there are already towels in your room", I explained there were only two and we needed at least 4. I was told, "the rooms is double occupancy, there are three in there." I told him...no there are two. He stared at me like I was lying! He then proceeded to walk to a room and unlock it and begrudgingly hand me two towels! The pool didn't seem to be working, the pool room itself had no air conditioning(or else it was broke), none of the filters seemed to be running and their was no smell of chlorine or pool chemicals at all, in fact the water smelled musty. We tried it, but got out when my kids and mother started pulling cigarette butts out of the pool. At about 4pm, another family member and her children(they live in the area) came to the hotel to see us, about 5 minutes after she arrived, we received a phone call from the front desk saying, "I hear children, what is going on up there?" Now at this time, there were only about 3 cars in the parking lot, it was in the afternoon and we were disturbing no one. I later realized that our room was directly above what I assume was the clerk's(who I assume is also the owner) living quarters. I assume this clerk, who was so rude, is the owner as he is the only one we ever saw at the desk, and when we would have to call for anything, he was the one who came out of that living area.
