The Good:
Great decor in the lobby and rooms
WONDERFUL front desk staff (they even had cookies one night)
Fairly comfy mattresses
The breakfast was pretty good for a hotel
Large pool.
Nice game and exercise room.

The OK:
The waffle maker undercooked the make-your-own-waffles for breakfast. We learned to leave it in for another 30 seconds after the timer went off.
The pool was warm like bathwater
No automatic front doors made hauling in/out luggage hard.

The Bad:
The hot tub was broke. That sucked.
The sheets on the bed were not fitted enough to actually stay on the bed. Everyone had their bottom sheet come off and cause them discomfort.
The hotel is right by the highway and it is quite noisy. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

We stayed just one night at the Comfort Inn last August, having driven all the way from Chicago to see the Field of Dreams in Dyersville. We weren't expecting much from a small rural town motel, but were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms and the service generally. The Inn has a nice indoor pool, which our youngest enjoyed, while our eldest two raved about the comfortable beds, and the breakfast, which included a make-your-own waffle machine (exciting stuff for us Brits!). The location was also great, just a few mins from the famous baseball diamond made famous by Kevin Costner's film, and we had a very nice dinner at a nearby restaurant (Country something or other). There is also a Subway (which we used) just over the road and a Pizza Hut (which we didn't) and there seemed to be several motels for visitors to choose from. Dyersville has a beautiful church and the town centre itself looked interesting, although when we were there the roads were all up and no-one was around, making it almost ghost-like (appropriate given the nature of the film...).
It was a trip of a lifetime for us and if we get the chance to go again we will, and we'd definitely stay at the Comfort. Is this Heaven? Yes, it is!
