This hotel has everything. Beautiful indoor swimming pool, very nice staff and it is a very clean place to stay. My son used the weight room. All the equipment was in working order, he commented on the selection of machines they had. The rooms were very clean, hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet had a very large selection and was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

When in Dubuque stay here, you will not be disappointed.
When you first step inside, you know this is not a typical Best Western, very spacious lobby, well appointed and professionally dressed employees. Check in was accomplished efficiently, by a courteous Front desk attendant.
The King sized room was more than we had expected, pillow top bed, large work desk, refrigerator, microwave and flat screen TV. And everything worked!
The housekeeping staff does an excellent job cleaning, no dust anywhere (not even in the corners, where you usually find areas the vacuum cannot reach).
The bathroom was immaculate, no built up crud, mold in the corners, clean counter and sink, this staff knows attention to detail.
The Breakfast Buffett is at the adjoining restaurant (Champs), consisted of eggs, pastries, fruit, cereal, pancakes, sausage, toast, bagels. Coffee, milk, apple and orange juice are the liquid selections.
The selections were fresh and properly heated. Constant vigilance by the staff and again attention to detail made each breakfast enjoyable. It’s all about presentation.
Every employee we met was courteous, cheerful and had a professional appearance.

The hotel is perfect for travelling with a group of kids. There is a large central pool with lots of seating for groups to hang out. The kids that didn't swim played ping-pong and pool. We had a king room with a sofa pullout and there was plenty of room, fridge and microwave.
The breakfast buffet was included and is very good, with lots of breakfast items to satisfy anyone. The Restaruant gets really busy weekend evenings, so get there early, or be prepared to wait for a table. It is a 'sports' bar, with typical 'sports' bar food.
We are heading to Dubuque again this season, and are booked to stay here again. We won't be disappointed.

Almost didn't stay, never had a good Best Western experience before. But while visiting a local college, my son and I had a good room, great breakfast. The breakfast was set up in the adjoining restaurant, so much better than most with real service and even the eggs were good with nice hot sauce available on the side! Lots of parties going on, lots of families in the pool area, that made that end of the hotel smell like chlorine, which is typical. But our room was only $79 and well worth it. Really like the coffee in the room and finally, someone who realizes you need two luggage racks!
