Me and my husband went there to get away for the weekend and when we got there the room looked a mess. We would have been better off staying in a shelter. It was holes in the carpet and it smelled like smoke. When we turn the lights off to go to bed I so happen to look on the dresser and saw what look like to be a rat ran along the dresser. I got up to complaint to the manger and he told me what hotel you know that don't have rats and mices ranning around. Then he said it might was a mouse that I saw. He told me he didn't have time for minor issues. So I needed up sueing them

We booked a newly remodeled (king bed) on the internet. When we checked in it was too early to get in the room. We said we had an AARP discount card which was great. We even confirmed with the check-in person that we had the king sized bed. He said that we did.

When we came back later in the day, we got our room key. When we opened the door we noticed we were booked into a room that had 2 full sized beds & no remodeling had been done to the room. When we went back to complain they said they had given our room to someone else. Of course they would refund our money or give us another room. Only problem was only smoking rooms available & all other hotels in the area were already booked. Needless to say we ended up having to stay in the room. It was in need of airing out & was not what we had reserved.

when i booked it online it said newly remodled. not so. there was rust stains on the wall by the door. the bathtub had black spots in it, the bathroom counter was falling apart, and the trim in the bathroom as coming apart. i went and asked what was remodled and the lady said she has had this problem for 2 weeks and nothing had been remodled since she started 4 years ago. i called the manager and he said she must have not given me a remodled room. i told him that i thought it was false advertising. no its not he answered. hmm what do you call it. the place is a dump and the manager said i had 5 min to decide inorder to get my money back. i told him there was no i way i could find another place in 5 min. and he then gave a half hour. he was rude and denyed any responsibilty for what happened. do not stay here. it is gross and it is not redone!!

We knew the hotel was old and the room did show it's age but it was clean. We locked the deadbolt the night we stayed and the next day we couldn't turn the deadbolt far enough to unlock it. The manager, Nash, had to come up with a key and unlock it from the outside - yes we were locked in! Could have lived with that but Nash had a real flippant attitude about the whole thing and didn't seem to care whether or not it was fixed prior to the next guests staying. The staff checking in and out were very nice and helpful. Nash was the only one I have an issue with. Turns out Nash isn't just the manager, he's the owner's brother. I wrote to the "corporate" office about the incident and they basically just said that each owner is responsible... and that they'd forward my message on to the owner. No surprise that I haven't heard from anyone.
