Our first impression was a mixed one. When we arrived in our room, we noticed almost immediately that the smoke detector was missing, and instead a few wires were hanging out of the ceiling. After talking to the front desk, the manager, who seemed very friendly, promptly came down to install a new smoke detector. This was much appreciated, although I was surprised, and a little bit concerned, that housekeeping didn't notice the hole in the ceiling in the first place.
My other complaints would be: An entire piece of granite? or whatever material it was, was missing from the side of the bathroom counter, leaving wood with dried glue exposed. Also, the beds do not have bottoms that go down to the floor, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine. There was a half full tube of toothpaste underneath the bed from a previous guest. The pool was very, very small. At breakfast the coffee was watered down, the biscuits were ice cold, and the juice ran out quickly. ( I will mention, the waffles were good, there was a nice selection of yogurt, fresh fruit, and bagels, so breakfast wasn't a total loss. ) The furniture in the room we stayed in was definitely outdated. There was only one ice machine on the first floor, and we had to go down 3 hallways to get to it. Lastly, what bothered me most of all, was the bedding. It looks nice in pictures, but in reality all it is is a fancy strip of fabric at the foot of the bed, covering up a white sheet, then a scratchy, worn old blanket with another white sheet underneath. Yuck!
I would not recommend staying here unless you have low expectations. The money saved was by no means worth it.
