Nicer than I thought this place would be. The rooms were nothing special, but were clean and met my expectations. The breakfast offered even included some hot items (sausage, biscuits/gravy, etc.). Rooms appear to be somewhat remodeled not too long ago.

Be careful if you enter the hotel from the room doors (upstairs) facing the parking lot. There is a step going down into the room that you do not see late at night - like after midnight as I did, entering a dark room. There is a little message about the step on the door plaquard under the room number, but at 1:00 in the morning w/ your hands full of luggage, that is the last thing you read or expect. I almost twisted my ankle as I fell into the room with hands full of my gear.

I would stay here again - the price was right, and what you got for that low fee was definitely worth it.

(I travel all over the country with my job, and I contribute on EVERY hotel I stay in. Trip Advisor has been a great tool for me, and I contribute fairly, for both good and bad facilities.)

I stayed in Des Moines for my little sisters highschool graduation in May 2010. I asked for a rollaway bed and to my surprise I had to carry it up to my room! My hotel room was what was expected. It was dirty but cheap. The guy working the front desk on Sunday was rude, disrespectful and I asked him for a set of towels. He says to me they are all in the wash! It was a terrible place to stay in and I do not recommend anyone staying there, ever!

What a great palce to stay!! The motel was like all new!! My room had a great "new" kitchenette! (with stove, fridge, and kitchen sink) the staff was very very friendly and helpfull!! (Ann) The rates was great!! for what you get!! The motel offers weekly, and monthly low rates!! I will stay agin for sure!!
