Arrived 11 pm on a Tuesday night and found the parking lot full of cars. (Same situation at the nearby Red Roof and Motel 6.) We were given a small unusually shaped room at the end of the building. Rm 131 Mattress and pillows were poor. But clean. During the night a strange ticking sound woke me up. Don't know what it was but turned on the air conditiner fan to cover up the noise. Great water pressure in the shower the next morning.. Checked out the free breakfast as we were checking out but instead chose to walk next door to the Country Kitchen, I think it was. Room was $69.99 plus tax so $78.39. It was just down the road from where we needed to be the next morning so that was convenient for us. Like I said, it was adequate.

We were driving from Denver to Chicago, planned to go nonstop but a snowstorm hit eastern Iowa so we stopped here, needing only a place to sleep. Paid $45 for a queen room.

The room was weird. It had 2 doors, one facing the outside walkway and the other an inside corridor. The showerhead was so low that it was difficult to get my head under it, and I am only 5'9''. The heater worked well- too well in fact, as even the lowest setting had me getting up at night to turn it off, only to wake up cold a few hours later. The bed was not very comfortable, especially after having stayed at a Hilton the night before. Large room, decent TV, in room coffee but no condiments provided. Since we only had a few hours to go, we slept in and missed breakfast, so can't comment there.

Bottom line- It's cheap and acceptable. But I've also stayed at the Travelodge at the same freeway exit for only a few dollars more, and it was somewhat nicer. There is also a Red Roof Inn, and several Motel 6 around, so keep your options open.

We stayed here and what a nightmare!!!! There was mold growing up the headboard of the bed, pulled back the covers and there was blood stains on the sheets. We had to sleep on top of the covers. We will never stay at this motel again. It was gross and discusting. The breakfast was good.
