As a female in her early 20's traveling alone with a small dog, I felt unsafe staying here. Though the outer appearance and lobby area seem to be ok, the hotel has more of an apartment feel than a hotel, seeing as many of the guests appear to be extended stay customers who all know each other well. This started me off feeling uneasy. I walked to the very end of a long, narrow 2nd floor hallway to my room.
Very first glance, the room looked like a standard unimpressive motel room. Upon a slightly closer examination, the duvet had horrible stains all over it, the furniture had so many nicks in it that I thought maybe it had been thrown around a stairwell several times, and the bed was so hard my dog laid on the floor instead. When I went to latch the door, I noticed that the swing latch was screwed in on top, as it should be, but instead of a second screw, there was a bent bobby pin holding it in place. Not to mention the thin walls allowed me to hear everything going on in the other rooms.
I left shortly after I arrived and stayed in the nearby Baymont which was nice, safe, clean, and quiet. Upon calling Expedia for a refund, I was denied because Travelodge claimed they had no record of my complaints. I highly do not suggest staying here. Not even for a night.

We are very sorry for the issues this guest found in the room and immediately remedied them upon seeing this review. Sadly when you book via Expedia and other 3rd party channels you are guaranteed no refund regardless of issues, Expedia may have put the blame on us but that is not the case, contracts with them are binding and if guest had simply asked a new room or upgrade would have been given right away to suit them, sadly many people don't think asking works, but in our industry a simple request goes a long way especially when the hotel takes the time to listen ( which we do not just on site but via reviews such as this one). Thank you again
