Our Trip to Davenport started pretty rough. When we arrived our room was not ready and we had to wait in the hotel lobby for over an hour till our room was ready - They did however take some of the cost of the room off...which was nice.

Our troubles really started our last night there when we found roaches (five of them) in the room. The room was not terribly clean in the first place which makes sense why there would be roaches.

Also, the morning of our departure we found out the the refrigerator that we had placed our food in was not working at all - thus the food was spoiled.

All of these things could have been overlooked or at the least been made right if I was treated better by the management of the hotel. I told them about the problems the day we left and they said that the manager would have to call me - I finally got in contact with him and he disbelieved that there was roaches in the hotel at all. Though He was polite and professional on the phone, he made me out to be the bad guy - like I did not know what I was talking about and he would do nothing to make our stay right.

In the room there is a little handbook with information about the hotel and the hotels guarantee - which says that the hotel does not expect the guest to pay for any part of the stay that was not 100% satisfactory. I was very dissatisfied, especially with the roaches and the management that has done nothing to keep me as a customer. It is clear that they do NOT value their customers (this was not the first time I was at a Staybridge).

If you are looking for a horrible stay at an expensive hotel with roaches as roommates - check into the Staybridge...it will meet all THOSE expectations.

Being a Priority Club member I look for Holiday Inn properties. Had business in the area and decided on this Staybridge Suites. Great location, with numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance in addition to stores. Easily accessible from I 80. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and plenty of channels on the flat screen TV. A managers reception from 5:30 - 7:30 with drinks and food is a nice touch. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. If you are a runner, as I am, there are plenty of roads, sidewalks in the neighborhood to get in a morning run. I will stay here again when back in the area.

A clean comfortable room is available at this somwhat dated and tired hotel but compared to the poor options available in the Quad Cities this is htel is the beast. I spend at least one night a month at this location. Has everything a business traveller would want except for a restaurant.

Sorry, but your policy of not cleaning room on weekends did not set well with us. We checked in on a Friday night and we were not told about this by the front deck upon check-in. We left the room on Saturday morning and returned to an un-attended room on Saturday night. After calling the front desk, we were advised that they don't do room service "unless pre-planned' with the front desk on weekends. Sure wish someone would have told us about this policy when we check in. We won't be staying here again.
