The price was right, but the whole hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, from the lobby to our supposedly non-smoking room. (The room was less obvious...it was more stale-smoke-covered-with-cleanser.) Our room was very hot and stuffy when we arrived (granted, it was the middle of the night, so the A/C was off). It cooled down fairly quickly, though.

The curtains did not close properly, so the room was bright by 6am, which was pretty painful after arriving after 1am. Housekeeping knocked on the door promptly at 8:00am--yikes!

On the bright side, the staff were very friendly. I had to trek back down the stairs from the third floor because the reception clerk didn't hear me ask for a room with two beds, but she didn't charge me for the difference in the room rate. A staff member who saw me poking through breakfast cereals in the morning asked if there was anything I was looking for, and opened a new case of assorted mini-boxes to find the one I wanted--definitely above and beyond!

My wife and I stayed there December 17, 2010 and when we received our Visa Bill noticed we were charged for two nights. After 2 phone calls and 2 emails (showing our receipt from
Days Inn Joelton for December 18, 2010) and assurance by "Paul" we would be reimbursed---we are still waiting for something to be done about it--today is July 22, 2011. Will not stay there again. JBC

Stayed one night (July 17, 2011) while traveling to N. Carolina. I found a brown bug crawling on my laptop from the bed and brought it down for Rachel (front desk clerk) to see. She informed me that she would have her General Manager (Paul Thomas) call me on my cell phone since I was leaving at 5am. Well, I didn't get a phone call (not surprised) so I called when I stopped and stayed at another Days Inn. Paul answered the phone and I told him who I was and what room I stayed in and explained the bug situation...his reponse, "Well, it is the bug season and they may get into the room but we do spray." WOW!! Really, that was all I got from him...no apologies or anything. I can understand if he couldn't refund my room or give me a discount but he didn't even say "SORRY" or even sound concerned that I may have had a hard time sleeping! I won't be staying there when I drive back from N. Carolina.

Just keep that in mind if that matters. Overall an average but spacious basic lodging. Above average breakfast with plentiful choices.Strong wireless connection. Love the wall pictures which gives the room a "home-like feel". Including taxes, etc., we paid $194 for 2 nights ($97 per night) for 3 persons in a double queen. BUT this was College World Series weekend and rooms were at a premium in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. We would stay again but might try out other surrounding hotels just to compare.
