We travel between Nashville and Terre Haute on a regular basis. We always stayed at "cheaper" places. Then one day I got a discounted room at Holiday Inn....and I've never looked back. I book on Hotwire and always get a great price. The hotel is clean and the staff is super friendly. They also have a nice indoor pool. The hotel is on the main road, so it's easy to find. Sometimes the parking lot is packed, but we've never had a problem finding a spot. It's well lite at night and someone is at the desk all night. The rooms are always clean and welcoming. The hotel has been updated....so the rooms in the main part are much nicer. However, the other rooms are still in great shape. But if you have your choice, stay in the remodeled ones!

My family and I recently moved out of the area and were back for a visit this weekend and rather than impose on friends, we opted to stay here. It was well worth the money! Very comfortable beds, nice rooms and common areas, and not to mention the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The ONLY 2 things I did not like about the hotel/room is that the restroom could use a little updating/scrubbing as the tile in the floor looked a little grungy (not necessarily unclean, just old) and at our room, which was right by the pool, you could hear everything going on. Luckily the other guests didn't stay up too late, so it was hardly a major issue, just a minor annoyance at times. I would stay there again, especially considering the deal we scored using Hotwire ($52 for a Friday night!).

Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. I was given a room on the 5th floor which is the concierge area without asking for it. The hotel lobby is new with coffee and a large sitting area. The halls and rooms were very clean and looked recently remodeled. Indoor pool, exercise room and sauna were among the best I have used. The breakfast buffet was great with omelets cooked to order. I would definitely stay here again, a very pleasant experience.

In Jan 2009 on my first visit to Holiday Inn Terre Haute, I gave it an excellent rating. I have stayed here several times since, most recently this weekend. I decided to review it again because I continue to be impressed that every time I come, there are no worries. I ALWAYS get a nice, very clean, quiet room with a great bed. I am ALWAYS greeted warmly and quickly by the front desk. The restaurant's breakfast buffet is ALWAYS delicious with friendly and quick-serving staff. I continue to return to the Holiday Inn because there are no surprises, just solidly good service.
