It's so great there's finally a good hotel downtown Terre Haute, not far from Indiana State, several restaurants, coffee shops and other activities, such as the BBQ Fest which was on during our stay. We enjoyed the Clabber House Museum (famous for baking soda). The hotel is deserving of its rating - good service from the time we arrived (do sign up for HiltonHonors if you're going to stay here) till we checked out five days later. The pool is small and there is a hot tub, but those using it seemed happy. We were attending a family reunion and my husband's high school reunion, so appreciated the proximity of Coffee Grounds just down Wabash, and the microwave/fridge/coffeemaker (for breakfast in the room). Two queen beds with firm mattresses, a large desk, free wifi, large-screen TV, roomy bathroom, large closet with full-length mirrored doors - we paid $113. We had the breakfast buffet with cousins one morning (only $9.95 per person with lots of choices - omelets, waffle, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruits, cereal, oatmeal, juice, coffee, tea, iced tea, etc.) Good service from the front desk, the housekeeping staff and the restaurant crew.
