high price for a hotel that is a bit behind the times. room was clean, but again outdated. they have a lounge but smelled exactly like cat urine! the breakfast was gross looking for 1, but even more, the food was miniaturized! tiny biscuits, tiny bagels, but regular size toaster. could'nt figure out how i was supposed to get the bagel out w/o burning my fingers. all that may seem minor, but consider the price compared to other modern hotels and they need to catch up.

Rooms were clean and comfortable with a fresh clean smell to the room, air/heat worked perfectly, pool was clean and well maintained. nice location, plenty of restaurants nearby, kinda far from Holiday World, but worth the extra drive to the theme park.

We got a "cheap hotel" for our trip to Holiday World (great coasters!) and the Tell City Ramada was a nice surprise. The rooms were about average size and nicely done up for a hotel of this price. Service was above average and location was good. There's a McDonald's and Pizza Hut right down the (steep) hill and Holiday World is about 10-15 minutes away through the corn fields. What really surprised us was the included breakfast was decently robust and they had a waffle maker so you could have fresh waffles! Which, of course we had every morning, and so did everyone else staying there because sometimes there was a bit of a wait. But there are plenty of tables and everyone was pretty patient and nice and the desk staff kept the area cleaned up. We've been spoiled that other higher-priced hotels don't offer free breakfasts, especially not as nice as this one! We were really satisfied with our stay overall. Being on the ground floor, we just passed our bags in and out the window to our car parked right outside! It's not anything to shout about, but we were nicely surprised for what we paid.

i am a resident of Kentucky. we had a terrible ice storm which left county's without power... we had to find a hotel to stay in and on Tuesday Jan. 27th 2009 we checked in at the Ramada at a rate of $64.00... by the time the rest of my family had to come n stay on Thursday Jan. 29th 2009, the hotel had raised their prices to $89.00... i just wonder how under a state of emergency a hotel can do that..... the stay there and the staff were great they really worked hard to make a very unexpected stay very pleasant....
