We were on our motorocycles. The temperate was over 100 degrees with a heat index over 110. The the Holiday Inn Express and Ramada Inn were full. This was the only place left in town. We were stuck. We stayed at the Days Inn, not out of choice, but necessity. To summarize, it was THE WORST hotel that I have ever stayed in.
I would have thought that being part of a chain hotel brand that there would be certain standards to adhere to. There is nothing that indicates this at all.
If you find yourself having to choose between the Days Inn or having to keep driving... DRIVE AWAY FAST!
I would not suggest this place at all. First of Mexican Resturant in the middle of the parking lot, so ya cant get around, or find a place to park that's easy to get into. The employee that was working was to busy flirting with the guy that had been staying there for sometime. And was running peoples credit cards without them being in room, taking the information off the computer. Headed over to our room which ends up being int he creepy hallway that looked like it hadn't been touched since the 70's to this room that ya have to barge your way into the room cause the door sticks. Turn the light on and look around and room was an ugly peach color with stained carpet, and a bed spread with burn marks (yes it was a smoking room but still). Bathroom door also stuck when closing it, and no vent in there either. So leave the next day do our day of time at HolidayWorld, and come back to the room stick card key in and it doesn't light up, come to find out the door lock never worked and you can come in with out a key. WOW felt safe after that lucky there was a fold over lock that worked, since the dead bolt only engaged when you pull the door towards you with it shut and force the dead bolt over, leaving a nice gap around most of the door. Only good thing was water pressure was decent.
Our room was dirty. The lock didnt work and they werent interested in fixing it.
We booked six non smoking rooms for a youth trip to Holiday World. It was a nightmare. At 4:30 only one room was as they said cleaned. It was a smoking room and they would not change it. There was a pill of some kind in the bathroom floor a used flosspik on the night stand. We had to find a different hotel the had enough room for us. We had to contact Hotels.com to get a refund. I have traveled alot on business and personal trips and have seen some run down hotels but this was by far the worst. The kids wanted to sleep in the cars. We found a wonderful clean hotel just 30 minutes away from Holiday World. It was a Quality Inn and was only a little more,
