Stayed at HIE Tell City last weekend before a trip to Holiday World. Hotel was clean and well maintained. As other posters have mentioned the breakfash does get cleaned out. Have to say I saw a lot of people taking plates and items back to their rooms to put in coolers. Overall very enjoyable stay and good nights rest. Would stay again. Just not go to Holiday World on a weekend. Rooms were clean and fresh. Front desk was courteous.

Hotel doesn't follow franchise guidelines, so don't expect a decent hot breakfast, or last minute Priority Club reservations. I've stayed here several times due to hotel location, and have painfully learned my lesson to not come back. Most rooms stink of mildew, very strongly. Breakfast items are not prepared until everything already out is gone, making everyone wait. Also, don't plan on eating here if you want an early start either, posted start is 6am, but they start setting up around 7:15. Management refuses to return calls. "New" mattresses left me with a sore back.

Made reservations and stayed there July 27 and 28. Have always stayed at HIE and really liked the. This one was under renovation. Lots of dust and smell was bad. Complained at front desk on first night. Nothing was done. Half of our party ended up with doctor visits because of sinus infections.. Front desk was very nice and friendly. Swimming pool black and open to guest.

We stayed at this hotel because it is close to Holiday world. It takes about 20 minutes to get there but it was clean and the staff was very helpful and nice.
It also had a very nice breakfast in the morning eggs, bacon, cereal, rolls, biscuits, yogurt, toast , juice, milk, hot tea and according to my husband Dantes inferno hot coffee!!!
Do not expect to find a variety of sit down restaurants in this area the main choice is fast food and pizza, we did however find a Ponderosa which was clean and the service was very good.
We would stay here again.
