We have been staying at this property for over twenty years when it was a Ramada Inn. A few years ago, it was purchased by an investor group and redeveloped as a hotel condominium project. The project has not done well as only about 85 rooms have been sold out of 200.
The hotel has many nice amenities and the rooms have been all be redone. We continue to stay here a few times per year.
Our most recent vist was on January 12th to 14th, 2012. We arrived late on Thursday night and were assigned to a room next to the pool. We went out to dinner and when we returned we could not get back in the room. We went to the front desk to report the issue with the key cards and were informed that the electronic lock on our room must be broken. They moved us to the room next door. That room turned out not to have any heat. The front desk clerk came to our room twice in an attempt to get the heat to work to no avail.
They did move us to a new room the next morning,. Further, they dicsounted our first night and profusely apologized. Later on Friday morning I met a gentleman who identified himself as the receiver for the property. He let me know they are going to address some of the maintenance issues, improve signage and advertising in efforts to restore profitability for the property.
I find this very encouraging becuase we really like this property and would like to come back for another twenty years. The front desk staff at the hotel are always very nice.
