I have been coming to Morton Street for over ten years. I always choose this location for my church's ladies group and we rent the whole house. This bed and breakfast experience is a bit different and I think that is why I like it so much. I like the fact that the owners do not live on site and it allows us to have the whole house to ourselves. Each room is tastefully decorated, and I have stayed in everyroom. The main living area has a piano and plenty of space for our annual game of charades. I read a posting about someone felt that it was all about the money, and I have to say that I disagree. This is based on the fact that often time situations have come up where someone ends up not being able to make the trip. I am always charged for just who makes it, rather than a set number (double occupancy per room). The gardens are lovely and the kitchen has snacks and cold pop waiting. The kitchen is fully functional, and a family easily could rent the house for a flea-market adventure. There is a den off of the kitchen which can be considered a small library. The dining room is large enough for a group to play games and this area is seperate from the kitchen and living room. The main floor room has a large bathroom that is unique to the time the house was built. The bed linens are fresh and plenty of towels for each guest. The house itself it kept very clean. There is only one room upstairs that I consider being small, but the bed can fit two people. I also appreciate that each bedroom has its own private bathroom. There is no main floor bathroom for everyones usage however, so one must use their own room. The home is stuated on the corner and each block, including Morton Street, has shopping opportunities.
