“Only cares about his $87 bucks.”

I read the review by Jim S and had a similiar poor experience at this hotel. We were in Muncie In. to see family and thought we had booked in the Comfort Inn in nearby Anderson. When we got there to check in we found our booking was in Rushville over an hour away. The guy at the Comfort Inn desk shook his head and said thats way out of your way, if they will cancel the reservation he would try to help us find something nearby at one of the other Anderson hotels since they were full for the night. This man then called the Rushville Comfort Inn and spoke with Betty, she said we could cancel but we would still have to pay the $87 since it was past the cancellation deadline. The guy argued with her but no way were they going to give us a break. So we drove an hour to Rushville, and asked again but Betty said she could not do anything. I asked for the manager, Mr. Devine Patel, and he said the same thing as in the other review, that I could not expect him to give up a nights booking on short notice no matter what the issue was. I travel every week for work and have never run into this, schedules for me change and I am always changing hotel arrangements last minute and they always wave the cancelation fee. Pure greed and not caring at all about the customer. I agree with the other reviewer, the hotel is dated and in desparate need of renovation, no elevator, room alittle dirty, leaky fawcet that I could not get turned off, did not see the bugs that were mentioned but not a hotel I would stay in again. It was interesting the contrast between the two Comfort Inns, the one in Anderson was willing to help me even though they did not have rooms and would not benefit from it. It was more about helping someone who had a problem and doing what they could even though they could have said tough luck. The Comfort Inn in Rushville, IN, was just the opposite. They could care less that we would have to drive another hour, their attitude was terrible, and all they cared about was the $87 bucks. Hopefully they spend that money on new bed spreads or paint!

“I'd Rather Sleep In my Car”

When we got to this hotel it was like stepping into a hotel from the 70's. No elevator, so up the stairs we went only to find a dirty room. We were tired so were going to make the best of it but then saw several bugs. My elderly mother was with me and had a fit, she wanted a different room so I went down to talk to the front desk. The lady at the desk said they didn't have another room and was irritated we would even ask. I asked to speak to the manager, Devin Patel, and they called him. I asked if I could cancel my reservation and go somewhere else and he said I could not cancel last minute and I should not expect him to give up a nights revenue on that room. We argured, he did not care, and I will never stay in a comfort in owned by a guy with the last name of Patel again. Just to top it off my mother insisted on sleeping with the light on to keep the bugs from coming out in the room, I hate sleeping with the light on but it worked I did not see anymore bugs and I would know because I was awake most the night. I travel for work everyother week and this was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. Never again.

In town for a wedding and loved this hotel! Continental breakfast was plentiful- more options than most places. Cable was disconnected in our room when we arrived, but we were able to get it hooked back up quickly. Clean rooms, sparkling bathrooms!

“Nice stay in rushville.”

This is a very nice small town hotel. We stayed for four days . Every thing was very clean and the people were friendly and accommodating . The morning continental breakfast was great with a nice selection of food. Housekeeping was good. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. They have a little social night two days a week with free beer, wine and food. They have a nice secluded area out back with chairs that we used one night when we had company. It does not have a pool which would have been nice with the temperature in the 90’s. If you want a nice quiet, affordable place to stay don’t be afraid to stay here. Its nothing fancy, But its comfortable.
