I have no doubt that this was the nicest hotel available in the area, but it still wasn't an enjoyable experience. The room was spacious but outdated, and there was a cigarette burn in the blanket on the end of the bed. The elevator and hallways were musty and smelled like smoke and the water stunk. There was no luggage rack to set our suitcase on because it was being used to hold up the mini fridge. There also seemed to be something going on with the AC because it was super loud when it was running, and then would make clanking noises when it went off. We were staying 2 nights and had confirmed with the mgr (who was working the desk) that we had reservations for both nights when we checked in on Friday. On Saturday, one of the front desk clerks left a voicemail stating that we only had reservations for one night and that we needed to come get our stuff out ASAP because they had already rented the room. My husband gave her the confirmation number and she was able to find the reservation. We returned to the hotel dog tired late that night and double checked with the front desk clerk that our key would still work because of the reservation mix-up. She told us yes, so we went up to our room and of course, the key didn't work. Went back downstairs and she reprogrammed the key. Went back upstairs and the key worked so we went in our room to shower and go to bed. Apparently, housekeeping had come and taken ALL of our towels and not replaced them with fresh ones because of the reservation mix-up-called downstairs and told the front desk clerk we had no towels. Her response was, "Well I have some down here if you want to come get them." Went back downstairs and got towels, and went back upstairs for the third time, before we were finally able to shower and go to bed. Would only stay here again because there isn't a better option.
