2nd time this year we stayed at this same hotel, and was given the exact same room both times (not by choice). In the bathroom (room 105) the shower bar holding was broken in July when we stayed. Over the weekend we stayed in same room, it's still broken. The beds were not comfortable, and really two small for 2 people to be comfortable. The rooms were clean, but the TV cable was messed up and reception was poor. We asked for extra pillows from the desk and received ONE, and was told that was all they had. The breakfast bar was meager, the pastries were small and not a great quality. The waffle maker was the best feature. The hard boiled eggs tasted old.
The pool area was very warm inside, to the point where the windows had to be opened. We noticed that one of the windows (which had no screen incidentally) in the pool room was left open all night long.
Also we were given a room that adjoined another room (again, not by choice) and at 2am heard the television clearly from the adjoining room.
This was not a typical Comfort Inn comfortable hotel. It felt very "Days Inn-ish" and we have decided we will not stay at this particular hotel again; there are two many other upscale choices in the immediate vicinity.

This hotel is in a good area and looks pretty decent from the outside but the room itself was a big disappointment. The furniture was in poor repair, the sink didn't drain properly, there were many different varieties of bodily fluid stains all over the room, the sheets & pillowcases were ratty, ripped and stained, basically the place was a dump. Granted I've stayed in worse Choice Hotels but this one was pretty rough I have to admit.

You can usually tell the hotel is going to be a dump when they have this little sign in the bathroom stating the charges if you steal various items from the room(ie $9 for a towel, $30 for the coffee maker, $20 for the hair dryer etc, etc). It never fails, every single hotel I've ever stayed at that had these signs was horrible and this one was no exception.

If I had to come back to Plainfield I'd probably choose the Best Western next door to the Comfort, that hotel looked brand new and quite nice.

Our family stayed her for a getaway weekend. The staff was very friendly and very helpful; our room was reasonably priced and very clean. The free breakfast provided on weekends from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM consisted of make-it-yourself waffles, syrup, butter, jam and jelly. It also offered toast and bagels that could be toasted and several types of spreads to top them off. The breakfast was rounded out with assorted pastries, cereals, juices, and the obligatory coffee and tea.
The location of this hotel is very convenient to local shopping, entertainment, and the Indianapolis International Airport; in addition this hotel has easy access to I-70 east for trips to downtown Indianapolis with Lucas Oil Stadium, Conseco Fieldhouse and many other attractions there.
We did find one disturbing feature that we brought to the attention of the management. Our daughter was swimming in the indoor pool on the first evening we arrived. There are signs everywhere that state you must be a guest to be in the pool area and there is a card reader security system on the door. However as we sat there watching her swim, we noted several people entering and exiting the pool bypassing the security card reader.
When we brought this to the attention of the front desk person, she told us “oh, I will have someone look into that…”. When we left on the third day, the security locking mechanism was still not working and kids were running in and out as they pleased.
Over all, I would rate this hotel as very acceptable, clean, and a good value. We enjoyed our stay and we were treated very courteously by everyone on the staff during our time there. Our family would recommend staying here.

This isn't my first stay here. I travel to Ohio several times a year, and at one point decided this hotel was clean and decent. Not anymore. My stay in January was the stuff of nightmares. I woke up about 2 hours into my sleep, because I was too warm. I turned on the light, got up and turned down the heat, then went into the bathroom, and was utterly shocked to see bedbugs on my pajama shirt!!!! I won't go into all the details, but yes, they were visible on the bed when I went back into the room to check it ... and I always check my bed before I retire for the night. There was nothing amiss before I went to sleep. The clerk offered me another room which was highly unsatisfactory - it appeared someone was doing some repairs in this room - newspaper spread all over the bathroom vanity, a ceiling light on the newspaper in a state of repair, rags on the bathroom floor, and in room entryway. I left and stayed at the Hometown Suites by Hilton around the corner.

I received a FORM LETTER from Choice Hotels, who deferred to the hotel management to respond to me. They have never done so.
