Pulled off the road here early because of storms in the area. Desk clerk was too young and ill equipped for her job. She took forever to process people. The couple in front of us asked for nonsmoking 2nd floor. She first gave them a choice of smoking rooms, then assigned them first floor, which she noticed as she handed them the key and had to do it all over. Then she couldn't process my Choice # because it was Canadian (finally realized the letters should be dropped, just as I was about to walk out the door). Gave us one key card for a double room. Also, all of the cardio equipment was out of order. The pool had good water, but was very small. There are lots of hotels at this location. I'd choose a different one next time.

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel while attending a funeral in the area. We arrived at the hotel at 9:45 PM, after driving several hours, to be checked in to a room that upon arrival to the room, had its door propped open - and the room had not been cleaned. YIKES - we were very tired. The front desk clerk was very nice, however, and was willing to 'upgrade' me to a different room - problem......only 1 bed, and on and on. DEAR HOTEL MANAGER - PLEASE EMPOWER YOUR PEOPLE TO MAKE DECISIONS! Ran in to the same ordeal at check out time - new clerk - NO manager available at 10:30AM (????). Doubt seriously if we will return to this inn.

It was OK. Was not as clean as it should have been. Next time I'm in Plainfield, it will be at a different hotel.

At this exit on I-70 there are many choices----but skip all of the others. This one is outstanding and the restaurant selections across the street are outstanding.
