The staff were the only good thing about this hotel - they were friendly and gracoius; however, that is all the positive feedback I can give. If you've seen the website, you should know that it's not up-to-date. There is no longer a hot tub - it is a boarded-up hole in the pool room (where the lights aren't kept on - we had to go to the front desk and ask that the pool lights be turned on every time), the wallpaper was peeling in our room, the icemaker was broken (had to ask for ice at the front desk - and only got a cupful), the halls had a musty smell, we had to ask for towels, one of the guests there at the same time as us had to move rooms three times in order to get one that had working air conditioning, the 'continental breakfast' consisted of cheerios, a bag of bagels and a gallon of milk and juice - and all of this at a price that can easily be matched or beaten by a nicer, cleaner hotel elsewhere. I have never reviewed a hotel before this, but I was so disappointed, I felt compelled to do so. This has been a nice hotel in the past, but is currently in pretty bad shape.

Stayed here twice on business in 2011 for a total of 11 days. Nobody came to clean the room at least half of those days. Every other day the key card would fail and have to be re-programmed by front desk. (They have a sign at the desk saying that that it is beyond their control.) They have plenty of hot water, but it takes about 5 minutes for the water to become hot. The coffee maker in the room did not work. On the positive side, their better rooms have a fridge and a microwave and they are across the road from a Walmart. Given the lack of good restaurants in New Castle, you'll probably want to eat in. As far as hotels are concerned, there's not much to choose from in New Castle and this is probably you're best bet. The town is a very depressed place and, sadly, the hotel reflects the malaise of the area.

I had a little trouble checking in,but was quickly resolved. We had a great time! We started out with a 2 night stay that ended up being a 4! I will deffinately be using that hotel for our stay in New Castle again. The lounge staff are awesome people,made you feel like you were home an not a stranger! I had a great New Years Eve,thanks guys an gals see you soon!

We stayed at the Raintree Inn while visiting family over the Holiday and it is run by the most friendly and helpful staff we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a great place to stay.
