We stay here at least once a year, usually over Thanksgiving and the experience is always outstanding. The rooms are small but well decorated with rocking chairs, quilts, and canopy beds. The linens are line dried and smell wonderful. Everything is immaculate. There aren't a lot of extras, although they do have hot tub suites, but we would gladly exchange a cold cereal breakfast for a clean, quiet room. The rates are very good and we don't even consider staying anywhere else.

This hotel offered the best rates in the entire Nashville area, so I was a bit worried at what we might find. We were very pleasantly surprised. The Lodge is pristine... fresh paint throughout, the bathroom fixtures were so clean they sparkled, and everything looked like it could have been brand new. Our room was decorated with warm yellows and powder blues, and the beds were spread with country quilts that were so appropriate for this area. The owner was friendly, and offered to make us a pot of coffee at night when we got in.

My husband and I stayed at the lodge for two nights. It is a quiet, rural, "mom and pop", two story hotel. Rocking chairs greet you at your door, that opens with an actual key (not a key card). If you're looking for fancy, or "up to date", this is not the place to go. The rooms are air conditioned with cable tv. There is also free wireless if you feel the need to bring along your gadgets. Some of the rooms have a hot tub and king bed. Ours had a comfortable queen bed. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is very clean. You can tell they take pride in what they do. They must have had several people steal their hair dryers because you have to ask at the front desk to receive one, and the water pressure in the shower was very low. Those are the only two complaints I could make. It's a great place for a quiet getaway. The hotel is close to downtown Nashville, IN. There are wonderful little shops and several restaurants to eat at. Green Valley Lodge is about 16 miles from Columbus or Bloomington, so it's easy to get to "civilization".

This was our third stay at this motel. The room was clean & decorated nicely. It is not real modern like a newer chain place, but it has been redone. The bathroom had a newer shower unit & the room seemed to be freshly painted. No in room coffee or microwave or fridge. One can get coffee or tea in office. The owners are very friendly & come from the area. They can answer most questions about Nashville for guests.
