We arrived at the Mt. Vernon Inn in May 2010. We'll soon depart Dec. 17. The staff welcomed us and made us feel at home for our long stay. As I understand they have only recently acquired this facility as new management. They will certainly do well in the future. Hospitality will certainly go a long way and they have proved that here. i would recommend anyone passing through to stop and spend the night.

the service is great the staff is amazing very friendly careing and kind!! to be honest i have know idea what the other person is talking about i have been here since may of 2010 an it has been a great stay! so they must have the wrong hotel. the rooms are clean the maids clean them every day, and do a wonderful job. the pool is clean an maintained. they beds are clean an come with two sheets two pillows a blanket an a comforter. the room comes with everything you need a tv a shower a bed an towels an rags shampoo an condinter an soap. everything else is your responsibality to bring ex, hair dryer!!! they do have breakfast in the morning an there is a coffee machine in the main lobby, so i would say this is a well rounded hotel and i would deffinatly come and stay here again!

I have stayed here before and i can say with the new manager,the hotel is looking good.I noticed first hand alot has changed with the building its very clean,good service,wifi working,and the pool back opened.I do plan on staying there again.

No airconditioning in halls or lobby. No hairdryer, internet, HBO or coffee maker in rooms. No towels or top sheet in room. Peeling wallpaper, stained rugs, dirty stariway, scum floating in pool.
