I had never been to IB,Its a 90min drive so we went. I knew we'd be staying the night after a long day of playing..didnt think a resy was in order.IT IS! NO one would take my bank card...cash only
We pulled into a lil place with cozy looking cabins,tired,called the # on the door. A sweet voice answered......after hrs of searching I told her method of payment first. She said "of course I will be right there" Outrigger was the only place that would take my bank card after 6hrs of searching for a place. I didnt even ask to see our cabin at this point. The lady provided us with s'mores,all the firewood we would need,charcole,and liter,even opened the pool and allowed us lake acess after hours.We were the only one there,I assured her I WILL be on guard with my children. To our surprise the cabin was wonderful,more than expected.2 bedrooms,full kitchen,grill, patio...just fabulous. We stayed 3 days,2 of which we didnt even go to IB. We will go back again.

i called unexpectedly on a Saturday to check on availability and fortunately, cabin 8 was available. Two bedrooms, two futons, full kitchen and small bath. It was perfect! Clean, comfortable and cozy. We arrived late that evening, 7-ish and was greated by Shirley. What a wonderful, friendly gal! She took care of us, offered us free fresh home grown vegetables and hauled a fire ring near our cabin for a camp fire. I asked if we could have a late check out on Sunday because my daughter was driving up from Indy and we hoped to make a day of it on the lake. I was generously provided with a very late check out which accomodated our needs. This is a family operated business and they certainly known how to provided top notch treatment. We would return in a heartbeat!

My entire extended family (40 people of all ages) just returned from a week at the Outrigger. We all had a wonderful time. The cabin are a bit rustic, but the nice pool, the friendly owners, the large open grass area, the play ground for the kids, and the location more than made up for it. The cabins were clean. The only thing missing was laundry facilities on the premises (the owners said they were looking in to this). All the cabins are very close and the outdoor space with tables and chairs were great for picnic meals and campfires. This in not a fancy place, but that is part of the charm. We have already booked again for next year!

Pros: Owners are wonderful, offering their homegrown fruit and veggies, Lake view very nice, outdoor area with firepit, picnic table,multiple chairs,patio table and grill very nice, cabin living room/kithen/bedrooms very roomy, location excellent, pontoon and jet ski rentals on premises
Cons: Cabins need updating and were filled with cobwebs and not cleaned well, bathrooms were awful with mold, rust and foul smelling water. We brushed our teeth in kitchen sink. It was hot when we were there and old and noisey a/c-thermostat did not work, beware of how many can sleep in each cabin-advertised "hide-a-beds" deceiving&uncomfortable-units have cheap futons which can only sleep one adult or 2 kids, outdoor fencing by dropoff to lake not to code-used unattractive wire fencing,would not let young children nearby.
We do not expect much with cabins but would not return to that bathroom and shower.
