“The worst place I've ever stayed in my life!!!!!!”

The only good thing about this "Resort", is the location. It is an old house converted into a hotel. Our $125.00 a night room was in the attic where they kept an old gas stove from the 1950's. I guess they had no where else to store it. The ceiling's were slanted. You could only stand upright in the center of the room. The Bathroom was all of 4ft by 4ft with the toilet under the slanted wall. My husband and son had a hard time trying to use it. The pool was nice. Very small, but OK. There was an old mobile pulled in beside the pool area. Our window unit air conditioner went out in the middle of the night. It was so very hot in that attic with no air. The management did replace it later that night, but the new one was broken as well. There were other rooms though, you could rent the trailer, and the garage has been converted into rooms as well. I'd say the whole Resort is all of 1200sq. ft. at best. We would have been better off sleeping in our car. How they can call it a Resort is beyond me. The place is a real dump.

“Hidden Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2010

We have been staying at the Arbor Lights Resort for 5 years and are already planning for next year. When leaving all you could hear is I wish we had more time and we are definately coming back next year. The only change is as usual our group is expected to be larger. We always receive a warm welcome from Mary and Johnnie who are like family now. They make everyone feel welcome and make every effort to make our trip an enjoyable and a memorable time. If there is a need they alway seemed to fulfill it. The resort is so relaxing, enjoyable, clean and has beautiful views of the lake . You can have the most relaxing or active visit you want. With our large group which booked most of the resort, everyone left with a smile and ready to return. We would highly recommend this resort.

I have been staying at this resort for the last 4-5 years during the same week as a quiet vacation spot. You can walk to the amusement park across the street in less than 2 minutes but not really hear to much noise from the park. The owners are always there as they live on the property and are kind and helpful. The rooms are clean but not fancy. Most of the furnishing are out dated but are in good condition. The bathrooms are very small, with just a shower stall. There are microwaves and coffee makers in the kitchens, also small gas stoves and refrigerators. There is a heated outdoor pool with some pretty lighting effects that make it look nice in the evenings as well as a hot tub for adults. Located right on the lakefront with 3 piers that you can swim or fish from, it is ideal if your looking to relax or go to the park. Pricing is reasonable and they offer discounts for early summer renters. It's not the Hilton but for the location and the fact that it will never be terribly crowded( only a few rooms), it is a nice getaway for anyone who isn't overly picky.
