This was my second trip to Mishawaka to visit my cousin at college. Last time we stayed at the Holiday Inn and it was pretty good but other family members had already booked at The Extended Stay America and we all wanted to be together.

We got a non-smoking room, but there was a strong cigarette/cigar odor. There were also cigarette burns in the sheets and the broken recliner which later fell apart when my 90 pound aunt sat in it. When moving the chair into the corner we found chips and crackers mashed into the carpet so we had to put it back where it seemed to have been strategically placed.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. My other family members staying at the hotel had problems with their room and they were moved to a much nicer but much smaller room with nothing but smiles and apologies.

If you’re on a budget and you aren’t too picky this is the place to be.

From the call to schedule the reservation to the check out process everyone at this hotel was great. Rooms were clean. Staff was professional. Safe area of the city with lots to do around the hotel. Room came complete with kitchenette making it easy to care for the kids on a budget. We will be back over and over. Thank you all again.

The Extended Stay Amrica is targeted for, you guessed it, people who stay for an extended period of time. It is located in the center of the shopping district along with about a dozen other hotels. Don't expect traditional hotel srervices and while you will get soap, you won't get shampoo or other accoutrements.

The room was clean though very basic/barren -- there is no closet, just wire shelving and coat hangers in the corner of the room. The TV and furnishings were again very basic and below the level you would expect in a well kept hotel like sleep inn or comfort inn. The room did have a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove top, and real glassware. I slept well though I was only here one night on a stop over.

They have limited staff at night -- when I checked inaround 10:00 PM the man who handled the front desk was also doing the laundry. He was however very helpful with checking in and even checked the room to be sure housekeeping had prepared the room.

OK, I say the room was basic but when in town if you need the space and could use a kitchenette, this is a very clean and well kept hotel.

Booked room for Nov 2nd for Notre Dame game on Nov 3rd. Was sent down to Studio Plus a few blocks from Extended Stay. Dirty, dirty, dirty..
.......Small, small, small.......no operating elevator, but of course room was on 3rd floor. Oh did i mention they were under renovations at
the time, and Extended Stay only uses property for the over flow of game weekends. once again dirty, dirty, dirty......
