“Great place for a retreat!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We had a retreat this past weekend with our church leaders. Altogether there were twelve leaders on the retreat. Our meetings were in the main gathering area with the fireplace. Very nice with leather chairs and couches. They had 24/7 snacks and drinks including juices, soda, hot tea, hot chocolate & coffee. They even had pieces of pie for everyone that first night and a plate of cookies in each of the rooms. Ed and Tammy were great hosts and made us feel very welcome.

Room Tip: Best rooms are just off the main gathering area. All queen beds.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I needed a place to spend the night while driving cross-country, and took advantage of their last-minute rates which made the cost almost comparable to standard hotels/motels in the area. The inn was convenient to I-80/90 and easy to find. I stayed in the Lonestar room, which was extremely clean and well-kept. The bed was fantastic with great linens. There were chocolate chip cookies on the bed when I arrived. There was also soda, juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available anytime, and pie in the evening. Breakfast was large and included fruit slush, awesome cinnamon bun, and a pretty standard eggs/toast/sausage/potato plate. I was the only guest there that morning, so I'm not sure if there are usually more options.

There were a couple of very minor drawbacks. The TV in the room didn't have many channels, but there was a huge DVD library if needed. The heater in the room was pretty loud. The bathroom was quite small, but not all B&Bs have private baths so I was glad to have that. Water pressure in the shower was minimal. Breakfast was at 9, but wish it had been earlier so I could get on the road sooner.

Because I was only there for one night I didn't get to use most of the amenities at the inn, but it seemed like such a nice, relaxing place that I wish I could have spent a few days there.

“Not as advertised”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed in the Lodge. More like a hunting lodge (and looked that way) than an Amish B & B. Needs some TLC. Found a dead mouse in the Lodge. The Lodge was not updated with care and it was dusty in many areas. The 2 sofas were almost unusable... very uncomfortable.

5 course 5 star advertised breakfast was a 5 item 2 star breakfast. Would not return.

Room Tip: I would give this B & B only 2 stars out of 5 (excellent).

We are sorry to hear you stay was not to your standards. We here at the Patchwork go above and beyond to make all our guest's stay a home away from home comfort. Our Inn is not an Amish B&B it is a country B&B. We are sorry to say there are lilltle critters that come along with the COUNTRY. As for the 2 rating breakfast you stated, as we can remember your plates where cleaned and no food came back. We also offerd the loft for you all to move into if the Lodge was not what you wanted. But you all declinned and said it was fine. The lodge sofa's are futons that are brand new and we have had guest that stayed in the lodge with no issues. Sorry to hear that you will not be returning. We here at the Patchwork Quilt Country Inn have come to a conclusions that we can just not please every one that has high class standards. Thank you

“Trip to ND for football game--great inn”

We stayed for an ND home game weekend and had a very pleasant experience. Home made pies, cookies, and every (non alcoholic) drink imaginable available the entire day. Neat and clean and very friendly. We would stay again. Very convenient to the interstate and less than 30 minutes from ND. Huge breakfast.

“The Perfect Romantic Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

My boyfriend and I just returned today from a three night stay at the Patchwork. We arrived to a really thoughtful Happy Anniversary sign and the surprises continued with some delicious cookies waiting for us in the room. We had ordered the romance package so we also had a nice bottle of wine, fresh flowers, and the inn even gave us a fantastic home-cooked candle lit dinner in our room! Tammy was running the inn pretty much on her own and did a fantastic job! We felt like we were really special because they really think of everything. Breakfast is out of control good and we had fresh pie and coffee everynight! We will definitely be back! When we left Tammy even gave us some to die for cinnamon rolls to go and an awesome fried pecan chicken recipe. We have been to many B&Bs and the Patchwork is really worth the visit. Beautiful setting with real family hospitality. We couldn't have asked for more!

Room Tip: We stayed in loft which was really nice because you have a kitchenette, dining area, and jacuzzi tub...
