“Be Warned”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2010

We stayed here for one night. We booked two rooms, one for my husband and myself, and one for our son and daughter-in-law. We did have a good time by the pool. Very nice sunny day and relaxing without almost anyone else there. Then came "the storm", trying to sleep with the unending partying going on in the hallways. Repeated calls downstairs only resulted in very short term periods of peace. Then, it would start up again. People were even putting holes in walls (as we learned the next day). It was frustrating enough to have had to endure the night without any sleep, but what was to follow would leave me fuming. We returned home with a 1800 number to call to voice our complaints, only to be responded to with the worst customer care I have yet to receive. The standard template apoligy letter was sent by email. I responded that an their apoligy was hardly comforting and that they need to compensate us in some way (afterall, We paid for a sub par service). They responded back that they would provide a 10% discount (which in dollars was about $10.) on our next stay (ha). I responded stating they had added insult to injury. 1. We had spent over $200.00 on two rooms, and 2. assuming we would ever come back. They did eventually credit us $40.00 plus tax, but this was after several emails and a phone call to corporate headquarters. We have accepted it, although we still feel that the compensation should have been more like 50/50. They kept saying everything was done that could have been done that night, but there is no doubt in my mind that they should have called the police. Next time I am in a hotel (and it will NOT be a Fairfield), if the same thing were to occur, I will call them myself!

“Did not have double beds available even thought we Pre Booked”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

We booked the hotel a week in advance, we were there for an overnight stay, so my whole family, 4 people had to sleep on one king size bed. Their reason was because they were busy. Anyways, the breakfast was good, the rooms were clean., did not use the pool. Other than that the hotel was OK. I ended up sleeping on the floor, because I wanted my family to be comfortable.. :(

We stayed here for one night travelling from Chicago to Indianapolis. It was up to the standard of Fairfield Inn. Spacious, cleand and fuctional rooms with a decent buffet breakfast.

“A nice night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2010

We were able to check in to our room early afternoon and our room was clean and ready for us. We heard no other noises from other rooms and had a quiet and restful evening. There were free copies of the local paper available which was nice. The staff was quite pleasant. The continental breakfast was good as well. A good place to stay for the price. The only thing I would caution is that when getting to the hotel, stay to the left when turning off of Rt. 30. If you don't, you will end up in the Staples parking lot and can't directly turn around but rather have to backtrack through a shopping area to get back to Rt. 30 and try it over again. <smile>
