We stayed here for one night. We booked two rooms, one for my husband and myself, and one for our son and daughter-in-law. We did have a good time by the pool. Very nice sunny day and relaxing without almost anyone else there. Then came "the storm", trying to sleep with the unending partying going on in the hallways. Repeated calls downstairs only resulted in very short term periods of peace. Then, it would start up again. People were even putting holes in walls (as we learned the next day). It was frustrating enough to have had to endure the night without any sleep, but what was to follow would leave me fuming. We returned home with a 1800 number to call to voice our complaints, only to be responded to with the worst customer care I have yet to receive. The standard template apoligy letter was sent by email. I responded that an their apoligy was hardly comforting and that they need to compensate us in some way (afterall, We paid for a sub par service). They responded back that they would provide a 10% discount (which in dollars was about $10.) on our next stay (ha). I responded stating they had added insult to injury. 1. We had spent over $200.00 on two rooms, and 2. assuming we would ever come back. They did eventually credit us $40.00 plus tax, but this was after several emails and a phone call to corporate headquarters. We have accepted it, although we still feel that the compensation should have been more like 50/50. They kept saying everything was done that could have been done that night, but there is no doubt in my mind that they should have called the police. Next time I am in a hotel (and it will NOT be a Fairfield), if the same thing were to occur, I will call them myself!
