My husband, son and I recently stayed two nights at this hotel, since it was an hour drive to Notre Dame Football Stadium and much more reasonable than hotels closer to South Bend on a football weekend. We arrived at 8 p.m. and our room was waiting for us, with requested feather pillows, as is typical with Marriott hotels. The room was clean and up to date. The hotel was quiet. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was the typical Marriott breakfast fare. There were a lot of restaurants in the area within walking distance. We found the room to be tight for 3 people when we pulled out the sleeper sofa in the living room area, but other than that the one bedroom suite worked out fine. The October weeknight social hour calendar was still on the refrigerator – however, we were there over a weekend, so it didn’t matter. We accidently put the No Service sign on the door before we went to bed and took it off the next morning, however, our room did not get made up that day because the housekeeping staff did an early walk through of the rooms and found the sign on the door (lesson learned). The staff did provide us with clean towels.
We did have a problem finding the hotel in the dark. We could see the hotel signs, but got lost in the maze of parking lots in the area. We finally found the back road to get to the hotel, however, the nearby movie theater had employees directing traffic and ended up cutting through parking lots in order to get to finally get to the hotel.

Stayed here for a month in May and June of 2007 and 6 months in 2006. The room was always clean, and the staff was superb. The manager went out of his way to be friendly and welcoming to us and made sure we were always happy. The breakfast was free, plentiful and great. They got new mattresses, which are like-home comfort, and new TV's. It was as close to being in your own home as you can get, particularly when your are staying for an extended period of time. We will be going back in September and look forward to seeing all the staff as they are like friends now.

I have stayed here once a year for several years. The property is in need of an update. They have gone 100% smoke free - however our third floor room smelled like old cigar smoke.

The have not installed wi-fi yet, but they do have hardwire internet access.

The bathtub/shower made a strange noise as you stood in the shower. It seemed as if the tub was loose from the floor or the wall.

The furnishing were very worn. Drawers did not slide, cushions on the sofa were stained and worn. One of the dresser drawers had crumbs from something in it - very nasty. We kept our things in our suitcase.

The location is great and the common areas looked nice. Staff was friendly and give greeting each time we came in.

Rooms have big coffee pots - but old and somewhat dirty microwave.

Somewhat overpriced for the condition of the rooms. I hope they are planning an update before our next stay.

I stayed at the Residence Inn with my wife and two toddler children for four days. We had a one bedroom suite. The room and all facilities were very clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts were very good and diverse enough that we all found something we liked. Location is convenient to shopping, restuarants, interstate and directly across from the Star Theatre. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating (provided extra towels, portable crib for our baby, maintenence man even gave me a hand with my luggage). Overall, our experience was very good. We will definitely stay here when we vist NW Indiana.
