This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in in my life!!! There was a group of us staying here and we had reserved four rooms. All of the rooms were to be with King size beds, and two of them ended up to be with double beds. We had to get a refund on one of the rooms because when we got there it was not cleaned, and four hours later when we returned to the room it still was not cleaned! The rooms were filthy, there were water stains all over the ceilings, walls, & floors. The bath tub had mold growing in it, and the ceiling was peeling. The cable television was so fuzzy that you could barely see the picture on some channels, and the pool outside was just as filthy as the rooms! I would never recommend this hotel to any I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently was at the Clarion Comfort Suites Hotel in Marion. Let me say that I was really blown away by the service, the environment, and the rooms! The Manager, who was very accomidating to us, gave us a discount on a room upgrade so that our kids could have a room of their own. It was like having a second honey moon and being somewhere ritzy!
I am not sure if the bad reviews were of this Clarion or some other one...but the Comfort Suites we went and stayed for 4 days was awesome!
We were close to everything! Resturants, movie theater, stores, gas stations, convience stores, a fairly big mall that was quite affordable, and just a lot of other neat things! It was a quite sad situation, a funeral we were to attend, but this hotel and its manager really kept us in good spirits! The rooms were very clean and cozy!

Billed as Marion's only full service hotel, what a joke. Signage is too small. Lobby smelled of wet carpet. My room had 2 light bulbs missing, and 1 had a unknown melted object on a third. No one responded to my call for replacements. The water in the tub must not have been used for awhile, as rust rushed out when turned on. Emergency exit doors from the stairwell had to be pushed HARD to open. It's location is near downtown but away from everything else. It appears that no money has been put in this place for years. A former Sheraton. (You can tell because the image of the sign is still in the side of the building.) Stay away.
