This is by far the best place to stay when going to Purdue University. Beds are soft and comfortable and there is a bar and restaurant at the hotel. There are great city views from rooms and there is no noise. Small indoor swimming pool is great for quick exercise. Front desk staff were so welcoming. Only negative is that the prices go up astronomically when anything is happening at Purdue. It is really one of only two decent places to stay though so we sucked it up!

I was very surprised to read the poor reviews for this hotel.

We booked this hotel at the last minute, after deciding to stay in town after a wedding. While we didn't end up on the same floor as the other wedding guests, our room was still great.

It was very clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. Other reviews complained about being able to hear noise from other rooms, but we did not experience that. And we know that there were people in the room beside us. The furniture was not brand new, but was definitely not outdated. I'm sure it would have been nice to have had a flat screen tv, but we never even turned the tv on.

I'm used to staying in Holiday Inns that offer free continental breakfast. That is not the case for this hotel, although the restaurant in the lobby offers both a buffet breakfast as well as ordering from a menu.

The room was a bit pricey, but there was nothing wrong with the property itself.

Stayed at the City Centre for a family wedding in Lafayette. Entire staff, including group sales, front desk, bar and housekeeping were all professional and accommodating. They gave us a nice upgrade as well. Only thing we were not completely happy with..the lobby was not cleaned on Sat. night so there were bar glasses and trash in the lobby Sun morning and Sunday brunch was $13.95 - a bit steep for a family.

My wife and I spent the night at the City Center Holiday Inn for the second year in a row, making a "getaway" of picking up our children from summer camp. This hotel does a very nice job! We were upgraded to a corner room upon check-in and following an appropriate time in the room, the manager called to ask if our room was satisfactory. The room was nice, albeit it seems odd to not have a flat screen television these days. Our room was comfortable and quiet and we enjoyed a cocktail in the bar following a delicious dinner at Bistro 501 - a French restaurant just a couple blocks away. We plan to continue this nice getaway for at least another couple years.
