Yes, the rate is right but you truly do get what you pay for. We booked our room in March for a July stay. We are a family of five and could not get a "cot" (rollaway?) for our 3rd child (the hotel only has ONE). We had 2 double beds with 2 pillows each and could not get another one for the child sleeping on the floor in the sleeping bag we had brought. We were told they couldn't give out any "extra" pillows because a room with 2 beds is only allowed 4 pillows (they didn't HAVE any more to give out as they were booked solid...this IS a hotel, is it not?). I guess my definition of "extra" is different that their's...one pillow per person in NOT extra in my book. So, I gave up my pillow and woke up with a pain in my neck both mornings.
There is a very small over-heated pool which must have way too many chemicals in it. I usually have to argue with my sons to get them out of any pool. A half hour in this one had their eyes itching and they had hacking coughs...like you would get after hanging out in a sauna for too long. Even sitting on the side of the pool, my eyes were watering and itching. Yuck!
The room was a good size and it was clean. There is nothing much to do in the hotel...no eating facilities...no exercise room.
There is a decent Continental breakfast provided in a clean but small eating area. My only complaint is that it closes at 9am on weekdays. I like to take my time waking up in the morning when I'm on vacation, don't you?!
We would stay there again only because it's close to the relatives we visit out there in the country. But next time, we'll bring our own pillows.
